We are excited to welcome back Wes Springer along with our musical guest Hello August for our spring DiscipleNow Retreat. "Untamed" will be held on April 23-25 at Camp Houston. The cost is $50 if registering by April 1. (The cost goes up to $60 from 4/2-4/16). The retreat will focus on what it means to live a life that is committed to following Christ and will have lots of solid, biblical teaching as well as good music, fun, games, and activities. All students currently in the 6th-12th grades are encouraged to be a part of this great discipleship opportunity. Preparation for the PowerPlant mission trip to Nashville, TN will begin on Sunday, April 11, with a mandatory meeting for participating students as well as their parents. The meeting will be held in the youth center at 6:30pm and will last about an hour. Additional training will be held on subsequent Sundays. Also, please remember that the remainder of fees is due by May 16. There are a couple of spots available at $270 if any students are interested. Please see me for more details if you would like to register. We will recognize our high school graduates in the morning service on Sunday, May 16. A meal for the graduates and their families will be served immediately following the morning service. As part of the service, we are putting together a slide show to honor the students, and we need 8-10 photographs of each student. Please help insure that we don't miss anyone by contacting the church office by April 25 to make sure that your graduate is on the list and to submit your photographs for the video presentation.  GROW:
All Christians should mature spiritually and produce spiritual fruit. We must develop discipline for ourselves through prayer and quiet times with God to become sensitive to His Will for our lives.  |
