Deacon Ministry Teams
Widow, Widower,
and
Homebound Ministry Team
This ministry team seeks to identify and respond to the special needs of the
widow, widowers, and homebound members of the congregation by:
- working
to establish an effective plan of ministry and
communication through regular visitation correspondence, and
phone
calls.
- working with the Christians, Care and
Call Ministry Team
and the Helping Hands Team to identify specific needs of
out elderly and
homebound.
Hospital
and Bereavement Ministry Team
This ministry team seeks to care for and encourage those who find
themselves in unfortunate or tragic circumstances by:
- assisting
the pastor in coordinating hospital visitaion as
needed,
- praying, encouraging, and expressing
compassion,
- working to initiate any further
follow-up ministry response
New Member
Ministry Team
The purpose of this ministry is to help orient new members
into Bible
study, fellowship, and the various ministries of the church by:
- working
to insure general care by an assigned deacon for
one year,
- expressing friendship and seeking to
develop meaningful
relationships with new church family members,
- encourage
participation in opportunities of worship in
ministry
Member
Recovery
The purpose of this ministry team is to reach out to those church
members who are inactive and those who seem about to become inactive.
The team will be encouragers and reconcilers in order to recover these
members. This tam will work closely with the pastor and staff and use
Matthew 18:15-17 as their model for reconciliation.
Helping Hands
Ministry Team
The purpose of this ministry is to coordinate assistance for
people
with minor household maintenance tasks. This team will provide help
however they can they can to anyone in our church.
Crisis Ministry
Team
This team will minister to those facing personal or family
illness, a
death of a family member, separation or divorce, family conflict, and
the birth of a child.
